About Lake Seven Studios
I am an educator, scientist, and artist living in upstate New York. When I was in graduate school, I began drawing on a regular basis to counteract the stress (and tedium) that comes with earning a PhD. I ended up earning my doctorate in plant virology and now run an independent research program and teach biology at a small liberal arts school. I draw to remind myself that there are beautiful things in this world beyond math, data, and my latest research ideas. -Larissa Osterbaan
